Introducing Our Willow Creek Thrift Shop!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Willow Creek Thrift Shop! As you know, Willow Creek is a Special Education School in Assagay, now registered as an NPO. We cater to children with a variety of remedial needs, providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Our new thrift shop, managed by Mila-Grace, is located at Old Heidi’s in Botha’s Hill, 1 Clement Stott Rd, Botha’s Hill.
The thrift shop will help us raise much-needed funds to continue providing exceptional care and education to our students. We are collecting donations of pre-loved items in good condition, such as clothing, accessories, toys, books, puzzles, ornaments, glassware, jewellery, home decor, linen, handbags, and small pieces of furniture. Please note, we cannot accept CDs, VHS tapes, broken electrical appliances, chipped porcelain, or torn and stained clothes.
Donations can be dropped off at the Thrift Shop, Bookshop, or the Mila-Grace counter. Every donation helps us keep the shop stocked with treasures and supports our school. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday—come through, view, and donate!
New Grade Openings for 2024!
We are excited to announce that we have new huts for the higher grades on the top field. We now have openings for Grades 6 to 10! At Willow Creek, we pride ourselves on our inclusive and personalised approach to education. Our peaceful environment, small classroom sizes, and dedicated teachers ensure that each student receives the attention and support they need to thrive.
Our curriculum includes a variety of hands-on activities, such as cooking classes, woodworking, art projects, and more, all designed to foster cognitive, emotional, and social development. We believe in celebrating each student’s unique talents and providing them with the skills they need to succeed in life.
If you are looking for a special education school that offers a supportive learning environment, Willow Creek is the perfect choice. Contact us today to learn more about enrollment opportunities for Grades 6 to 10!
Join Us on Mandela Day!
Mandela Day, 18th July 2024, is just around the corner, and we need your help! As a registered NPO, Willow Creek is calling for volunteers to come and spend the day with us, making a difference in the lives of our students. We have several projects that need your support, including:
- Sprucing up the bathrooms with a fresh coat of paint and new curtains
- Paving and planting flowers in the new area for the higher grades
- Adding colorful touches to make the school look bright and inviting
Volunteering on Mandela Day is a wonderful way to give back to the community and support a school that is dedicated to providing quality education for children with special needs. Every effort counts and makes a significant impact on our students’ lives.
To volunteer or learn more about how you can help, please contact Jenny. Let’s come together to make Willow Creek a beautiful and inspiring place for our students!
Conclusion
We are grateful for the support of our community and excited about the new opportunities and improvements at Willow Creek. Whether you donate to our thrift shop, enroll your child in our new grade openings, or volunteer on Mandela Day, your contributions help us continue our mission of providing exceptional education and care to children with special needs.
